Stepp family at Slick Rock 1908 Slick Rock Country Emporium is reviving handmade and traditional cottage industry in Bat Cave, North Carolina.   Our shop and studio is located next to a spring fed waterfall on the site of a 19th century homestead formerly known as Slick Rock Orchard established in 1888.  We have over 30 local artists and craftmakers work available for sale featuring handmade rustic furniture, pottery, folk art, jewelry, blown glass, wood bowls & carvings, soap, gourds and fabric arts.   Image:  These are examples of handmade jewelry by Becky Coleman featuring glass bead bracelets matched with fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystals, and antique brass stampings of butterflies, birds and other charms.
